FEBRUARY-STRENGTHEN YOUR BODY
Taking care of our bodies dramatically affects our happiness and well-being. What we eat and how/if we exercise are two ways to make us happy and healthy! And, the health of our physical bodies affects our spiritual well-being as well. It's all about balance.
We have incredible talent in our ward and are excited that some of them are sharing their talents with us this month.
Chelsea Archibald went to culinary school and is going to teach us how to make something amazing...so what do YOU want to learn to make??? (It doesn't HAVE to be healthy!)
Be thinking about it ...
we'll send around a sheet and vote on what she teaches us!
Anyone interested in Running/exercising?
As a member of the WSU track/distance team, Ashlee Eskelsen is going to share some of her knowledge. As a nutrition major, she can answer any of your questions about nutrition, as well as any questions about running and exercising.
(And if any of you are interested, there's a half marathon in March just outside Pullman...NOT part of Relief Society:))
And last but not least Beth McLain is a massage therapist and will share some of her knowledge with us! PLUS, if you are interested in a massage, she just may be willing to work out a deal to swap babysitting for a massage. Sounds like a pretty good deal!

{New Year~New Activity~Newlyweds}
Tuesday, January 11, 2011
Orchard Street Building
President Spencer W. Kimball noted that in our church, “if you study the divorces, as we have had to do in these past years, you will find there are one, two, three, four reasons. Generally sex is the first. They did not get along sexually. They may not say that in court. They may not even tell that to their attorneys, but that is the reason.” (The Teachings of Spencer W. Kimball, ed. Edward L. Kimball, Salt Lake City: Bookcraft, 1982, p. 312.) As most of us are basically newlyweds, we could all learn a little more about something so important in our relationships, to help us strengthen them.
Come listen and learn (for those of you who don't know Brother Campbell is the WSU institute director and they are amazing), and enjoy refreshments - veggie tray for those of you with new year resolutions- and also treats to tempt you to break them!

SUPER SATURDAY CRAFT INFO
Chunky Beaded Watches:
Price: ~$9.50 (I will keep you posted, it depends on how many people sign up!)

(ignore the $12 price on the watch face)

(samples)
The watch faces are $5.25 (some of you already have watch faces. If you don't want one, subtract this from the total price, and LET US KNOW). You have a choice between square or 'whimsical.' Choose between a black or brown watch. Several people have asked about different colors. We gave two choices to make ordering simpler. If you would like to make one that is a different colors, I have several other colors of beads (including red, blue, pink, tan, clear) and you are welcome to exchange them bead for bead, 'subject to availability.'
Randomly: I have one watch face that is free because my husband used it in his clinics at school. arg. Slightly scratched on the front. First person to comment gets it!!
Wood Frames:
Cost: $1.00 plus paper
BRING YOUR OWN PAPER. Paper pals in Pullman is kind of by Dairy Queen on Grand-they have CUTE paper. Or Michael's has a big selection, .60 each. We will stain all the frames a dark wood stain.
Christmas Countdown Blocks:
Cost: $5.00

Block size is 4x4
Magnet Boards:
Cost: $5.00 plus paper
BRING YOUR OWN PAPER-12x12 size. The boards will be painted black. The board is 1/2" thick (unlike the sample at church, which is 1/4"-the nails stick through and so it won't be that thin). This is another example for ideas for paper. Choices for the tie are tulle or black ribbon.
Our magnet board won't have a metal hanger on top like the pictured one does. It will come with 2 magnets.
This can be for necklaces, earrings, etc. You can choose the size of the frame you would like. If you would like a specific color of frame, let us know, we can probably work it out! Look online for chicken wire jewelry frames for ideas.
